Lesson architecture
Organize objectives, containers, Storyboards, sequencing, and remediation in a navigable lesson map.
Capabilities
Smart Studio supports the complete instructional system: structured content, practice and testing, remediation, branching, media, simulations, reporting, packaging, and delivery.

Intelligence in context
Smart Assistant works with the lesson rather than beside it. Use it to research a subject, generate and revise instructional content, create supporting images, and develop structured lesson material that remains editable in Scribe.
Because the system can work from project context and defined templates, AI output can follow the same content model used by human authors instead of becoming isolated prose.
Practice and assessment
Support different testing and remediation strategies within the same project.
Simulation-based learning
Smart Studio provides a framework for integrating simulation-based training with the instructional lesson. Authors can define procedures, expected actions, testing behavior, remediation, and feedback while the Courseware Engine manages the simulation interface.
Represent ordered tasks, acceptable actions, errors, and recovery paths.
Connect courseware with browser-based or external simulation environments.
Extend the Courseware Engine and authoring model for specialized equipment or workflows.
Report Generator
Turn the structured content already in Scribe into the documents your work requires—from review and quality-assurance reports to instructor guides, lesson plans, and project-specific deliverables.
Titles, text, Storyboard properties, graphics, media references, and other project information already exist as lesson data. Report Generator reads that source directly, so authors do not have to copy the same information into a separate document and maintain it in two places.
Generate a report for the complete lesson or the active Storyboard as a formatted Word document. When the lesson changes, generate it again to produce a document based on the current source.
Included Lesson Text, Lesson Graphics, and Missing Media reports support content review, media planning, and quality checks.
Customize the included report definitions or create your own with the lesson data, layout, headers, footers, and formatting the project requires.
Open the generated Word document to review, annotate, edit, print, share, or incorporate it into the rest of the production process.
Impression Connect
Connect extensions adapt the authoring environment to the way a program actually works.
Build web or desktop applications that launch directly from Scribe and remain connected to the active project, lesson, and Storyboard. Extensions can work with Smart Studio's open XML content model, respond as authors navigate, and exchange updates with the lesson in progress.
Add project-specific lesson or Storyboard editors and focused tools for specialized content.
Integrate media requests, discrepancy tracking, validation, lookup, and other production applications.
Create custom reports or connect Scribe with the systems and data sources a program depends on.
Production and delivery
Reuse current lesson data in repeatable review, production, and quality-assurance documents.
Package individual lessons or multi-lesson deliverables for target environments.
Prepare SCORM metadata and manifests or report learning activity through xAPI using the Courseware Engine.
